Silver Birthday Weekend

To ring in 25, I spent the weekend in SF, planned by one very thoughtful boyfriend...

On Saturday we visited the Bouquets to Art exhibit at the De Young museum, where florists in the area draw inspiration from the museum and create a flower arrangement to match a piece. There were some pretty amazing arrangements.... and I took a ton of photos.

CUPCAKES!!!

Cake

We stayed at the Intercontinental in SOMA which boasted incredible views of the city.

And on Sunday, we spent a leisurely couple of hours at Alamo Square park. This was probably my favorite part of the weekend. It was a gorgeous sunny day, we read, napped, and people watched.

In dreamland...
There was plenty of debauchery too... after all it was St Patty's day weekend! A fun dinner with friends at È Tutto Qua, drinks at Gino & Carlos, and nightcaps at the hotel bar. I made it a point not to bring the
camera to these events... it's inevitable that in an inebriated state the camera would have gotten lost or broken!

All in all, fabulous weekend that helped take the sting out of turning a year older - 25 is the new 15 right?

Hunger Games!

Just pre-purchased our tickets to Hunger Games! Going on Saturday - this week is going to draaaag by. Can't wait!

TEAM PEETA!

I majorly fell of the natural food bandwagon today. Had a hot link sandwich for lunch which was mighty tasty, but you know what I don't miss about sausage? The casing. I HATE the casing. It's chewy, hard to bite through, and made out of gross things. In that respect, I prefer those Oscarmayer hot dogs that don't have as much casing. But if you get more gourmet sausages the casing is always there... horrid. I'm don't regret the hot link sandwich, but I was glad to realize that I didn't really miss it that much after all.

Since Netflix lost their contract with Starz, the quality of the streaming movies has seriously gone down. Therefore, while all my tv shows are on hiatus, I've been trying to find a new show to watch on Netflix. Enter How I Met Your Mother. Love it! And there's six seasons available which should keep me occupied for a while. I mean, it's not 30 Rock status, but it's really funny.

Right. Well. I still plan on posting about Colorado, just haven't gotten around to uploading the pics yet. OH! Almost forgot, my boyfriend got me a Macbook for my birthday! So now, ostensibly I can run Lightroom at normal speed. Errr.... I guess that means I need to re-install Lightroom. Le sigh.

Okay... it's getting to be bedtime. Nitey world.

Back from Colorado

All good things come to an end but I really wish this particular vacation lasted longer.  It all flew by so fast!  I'm home and doing the usual drill of unpacking, laundry, and re-stocking the fridge.  BF went out and got some brussel sprouts, squash, and broccoli which I made with pasta for a quick dinner.  We've eaten out all week and our bodies definitely feel it.  My birthday is on Thurs and we're spending the weekend in San Francisco which means more eating out.  So the plan is to eat in this work week.

Posts coming to recap our trip!

Chick Fil A

I'm in Colorado for the next week seeing some friends and hitting the slopes. For our first meal we decided to hit up the first Chick Fil A in sight - my first Chick Fil A experience. My spicy chicken deluxe sandwich did not disappoint. It was probably the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had from a fast food joint. Love the sauces, service, and 50/50 iced tea and lemonade fountain drink. We might have to hit this up again before we leave :)
